A Car Engine Remote Start is a system that starts your engine from an app or hand held remote. It warms the car in the winter and turns on air-con in the summer.

Car Starter

Our car starter system run on top of a suitable alarm system. This means you require either the Pandora Smart Pro or Pandora Elite car alarm systems to be fitted before the remote start can be considered.  

This also means that the system may not be available for all cars as these alarm systems are designed for modern digital cars.

Warm or Cool the Vehicle

This system is designed to warm or cool the vehicle.

In the winter the started car allows the heater to warm the car as well as defrosting the windscreen.

In the summer by setting the air-con at a desired temperature before leaving the car, the car starter can then regulate to that temperature.

Engine remote start also allows the car engine to be warmed before beginning to drive.

Spare Key

For this system to be fitted, customers need to be prepared to loose a spare key. The way this is done depends on the car make and model, but generally the key is taken apart and the circuit board is buried deep within the car.

This allows the system to start the car via the online App available with either of the 2 alarm systems. Customers must also keep their subscription alive for this to be possible.

Elite Hand Held Remote

With the Elite car alarm there is also a hand held remote that acts like a pager. This can also start the car and gives a display of the car status on this remote as well.

Outputs Required

These systems require more outputs than normal and are therefore only available to the higher spec'd alarm systems. Unfortunately we cannot fit engine remote start with a Pandora Mini BT alarm.

This service takes about 4 hours on top fitting a suitable alarm system. We therefore require 1 or maybe even 2 days to install this, as well as an alarm system, depending on car make and model.
