Ghost and Tracker Fitted

The Ghost and Tracker fitted combo is available for newer cars and vans. This is because while a tracker can be installed to almost any vehicle, the Ghost is vehicle specific. We can fit this product on modern versions of BMW, Range Rover, Land Rover, Mercedes, Audi, Mini, Jaguar, Lexus, Skoda, VW and many more.

Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser

The Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser works in the background of your vehicle. Before starting the car simply press a sequence of buttons on the steering wheel or dash, to disable the device and start the car. The available buttons will vary from car to car, and the sequence can be four to fifteen presses, again depending on the car.

Drivers have to remember to perform the sequence and wait for the two flashes before starting the car. We find customers soon get used to the small delay, as it only takes a few seconds, when used to it.

The great thing about the ghost is it does not require any tags or extra remotes. Simply open the car as usual, disable the ghost and drive off.

Protection from Key Cloning Theft

The Ghost system gives protection from key cloning theft and key theft in general. It means that even if a thief gains entry by cloning the key information (while being serviced), they will not know the sequence and be able to start the car. This fake relay key will not be able override the ghost and for the thief, the vehicle simply will not start.

This principle also applies to key theft, OBD port theft, and relay theft. Key theft usually involves somebody breaking into the customer's house to gain the key. OBD port theft, means attaching to the servicing diagnosis port.

Relay theft is common in shopping centres. Where thieves relay information by a sequence of routers from being near to the car driver (with the key), to the car. They would then follow you home to steal the car at a more convenient time.

We show customers how to set their own unique sequence on the ghost. This allows a choice to be set that is comfortable, but also gives the ability to change the code should the need arise.

Category S5 Insurance Tracker Installation

This combo comes with a Category S5 Insurance Tracker installed. This Thatcham Approved Tracker and comes with a driver recognition tag.

For the tracker to maintain its Thatcham, and Insurance Approved status the device needs to be securely monitored. The monitoring station tracks the vehicle 24/7, 365 days of the year and for this a subscription is necessary. Please see S5 tracker subscription costs here.

How the Thatcham S5 Tracker Works

The Thatcham S5 Tracker works by the dedicated, and unique, tag being present while the vehicle is in motion. If the the car is on the move and tag is not present, an alert is sent to the monitoring company. This starts the recovery procedure, which begins with a phone call to the person's registered on file.

Tracker with Free Downloadable App

All our trackers come with a free downloadable App. This provides a basic form of self monitoring on top of the secure monitoring for Insurance. Within the App there is the ability of looking up the car's journey history for 30 days however this is reduces if the vehicle is used more. See demo below.
