Upgrade Alarm System

This package includes an Autowatch 695 upgrade alarm system. It is a Thatcham approved, Category 2-1: Alarm Upgrade, and adds to an immobiliser fitted at the time of car manufacture giving a full Category 1 alarm system. The alarm is fitted with interior sensors, a battery backup siren, blue flashing interior LED and uses the original car remote fobs.

The 695 does not come with an independent immobiliser, however and extra immobilisation is achieved through the tracker.

S5 Tracker

This package is fitted with a Thatcham approved, Category S5: Vehicle Tracking Systems. This tracker is monitored 24/7 and requires its and ongoing subscription. The yearly cost is around £180 per year.

The tracker device contains its own SIM card and this is how the tracker is monitored by the subscription company.

The customer carries a unique tag, on their keyring, which must be present when the vehicle is in motion. Without this tag present an alert is sent to the monitoring company and the recovery procedure begins.

S5 Tracker with Immobilisation

When an S5 Tracker is fitted with additional immobilisation this combats modern forms of theft. If a thief uses Relay Theft, Skeleton Keys, Key Cloning or OBD port theft, the vehicle is still independently immobilised by an unknown device, that needs to be removed.

This is a 1-point immobilisation circuit, where thieves would need to have time and expert knowledge, to deactivate the device and get the vehicle started.

In this scenario, if a thief did gain entry to the vehicle the interior sensors of the alarm would trigger the alarm siren to go off.

Motorhome Security

An upgrade alarm and S5 tracker with immobiliser is ideal as a form of motorhome security. This package is especially relevant for higher value leisure vehicles.

The alarm combats theft of expensive equipment, while on site. Useful if the owners are travelling in two vehicles and use a car runaround while on site. This means the expensive camper left all day has an alarm protecting it.

The tracker monitors the vehicle and creates an alert if someone tries to lift or drag the van.

The added immobilisation improves the weak security provided by the manufacturer standard immobiliser.

All of these features combat different forms of theft, giving an all round package.

Free Downloadable App

The tracker comes with a free downloadable App. This can be downloaded from the App Store for Apple or the Play Store for Android. This is a basic App that gives vehicle location, journey history, vehicle status and more.

Customers can also login through a computer browser to get the same information.

Alarm Notifications

Should the alarm go off then an alarm notification is given to the vehicle owner through the tracker. This could either be a dedicated phone call from the monitoring centre or as a notification through the App, depending on the tracker.
